Our entire team has been hard at piece of work bringing our well-nigh recent updates to FACEIT; here'southward a rundown of what you tin can observe!

Verified Accounts
With our latest update, nosotros have started to add Verified accounts to the platform. If y'all see the Verified flag on a profile folio, equally shown below, it means that we were able to verify the real identity of the actor and that account is indeed theirs.
At the moment the verification process is closed, which ways verification is initiated by FACEIT and cannot be requested. We have pre-selected a fix of accounts based on the players' popularity, ranking, etc. to become through the verification process first.
For the time being the main benefit of the verification is the badge on the FACEIT profile and in the search interface, although we are working on a few additional (underground) perks for these accounts. Every bit fourth dimension goes by we may open up the verification process and include additional perks if your account is Verified.
New Search
I'one thousand certain most of you take been experiencing the same frustration I experienced when looking for one of your friends or i of the pros you'd like to follow on FACEIT. Looking for TaZ? Easy you'd call up, write "taz" in the search and there it should exist… Nope! Up until today that would accept shown you a 5,000 player long list of other users from "TaZdeBest" to "IdliketobeTaz!". I literally smashed one of the monitors in the office when I featured one of these guys on the homepage by error… Well; no more than!
The search is finally smart — with today's release we introduced two major changes to the search:
- Boosting: virtually searched for & Verified users are now boosted in the search results. Looking for TaZ? No worries — he's the kickoff result you'll get at present. Don't believe me? Click here (ouch — enough of friend requests incoming)!
- Personalisation: The search function will at present show you searches that are more than relevant to you. I am looking for my friend, but can't find him in this jungle of accounts. From today all search results are personalised. The first personalisation parameter we are using is your friends on FACEIT, merely nosotros may increase the corporeality of parameters in the coming months.
In full general this release of the search marks a new foundation on which we can build new neat tools to make it easier to find things you are looking for on FACEIT. In a similar fashion as we accept been doing for user notifications, we volition improve this tool in the coming weeks based on your feedback! Feel costless to share any frustrations yous accept with this tool then we can solve them ;)
Anti-Cheat Statistics Update
This week we introduced a few additional detection mechanics to place certain individual hacks that were used at high levels (mainly diamond to main league). This led to a very large ban wave a couple of days agone.
Additionally, nosotros have continued to focus on bringing more detection mechanics into the direct bans rule in order to immediately ban a cheater in certain blatant cases (rather than waiting for the ban waves).
By now you should be used to the format of presenting the stats below:
As you can see the amount of daily bans have increased, mainly thanks to the ban wave that caught a very loftier amount of quondam and high level accounts.
Mutual Friends, Steam Friends, and More
As many of you know, nosotros added a lot of features in the terminal few months to brand information technology easier for you to detect friends on FACEIT. From the 'friend importer' to some basic friend recommendations. In this release we take added two more options to brand it easier to identify whether a friend asking is coming from someone you might know or not.
- Mutual Friends: you can at present run into how many mutual friends you have with someone and who they are.
- Steam Friends: this tab shows the FACEIT accounts of your steam friends and has a link to their steam accounts. (Call back to press "Update Listing" to make sure this list is up to date)
GameBlast17 Community Nights
Some of you may have noticed this already, but for the month of Feb we are hosting a number of community nights to help heighten funds for our friends over at SpecialEffect.
There are two means in which you lot tin can help this campaign:

Oh! I forgot… nosotros are going to match the donations coming from the customs until we reach the target fundraising on FACEIT!

Misc & Bug Fixing:
- Fixed a bug that was blacklisting some users from tournaments later on joining "as solo" and not accepting the team
- Added a filter to only show tournaments that are not full in the tournament list on the game dashboard
- Minor fixes to Anti-Cheat service & client to improve scalability
